The St. Theresa community is grieving an unimaginable loss following the passing of two deeply loved members of its “Warrior family,” Shelly and Beth. Students, parents, teachers, and loved ones are coming together in sorrow and prayer as they remember two women whose compassion, strength, and dedication left a lasting impact on countless lives.
Shelly is being remembered as kindhearted, warm, and full of encouragement. Friends and colleagues recall the joy she brought to those around her and the genuine care she showed to every student entrusted to her classroom. One touching reflection described how meaningful it was for a former student to later become a fellow teacher at St. Theresa and eventually have Shelly teach her own child in preschool — a full-circle moment filled with love, trust, and admiration.
Parents describe Shelly as someone who made children feel safe, valued, and loved every single day. Her nurturing spirit and calm presence gave families comfort, knowing their children were in caring hands. Young students adored her, and her classroom became a place filled with warmth, patience, and joy.
Beth, meanwhile, is being remembered as a strong and fearless leader who inspired those around her through both her professionalism and resilience. Serving as interim assistant principal following the retirement of Sr. Dianne, Beth earned respect for her steady leadership and unwavering strength. Colleagues describe her as fierce, dependable, and deeply committed to the St. Theresa mission.
Even during personal hardships, Beth continued encouraging others and reminding them what it truly meant to be a Warrior. Friends say her classroom was her passion and happiest place, where she poured her energy into shaping and uplifting young lives.
The loss of these two remarkable women has left the St. Theresa community heartbroken. Tributes continue to pour in as families and staff members reflect on the many ways Shelly and Beth touched hearts, inspired students, and strengthened the Warrior family through their kindness and dedication.
As the community mourns, prayers are especially being lifted for the Regira and Sinanan/Lee families during this devastating time. Though the grief feels overwhelming, many say the love, wisdom, and example Shelly and Beth shared will continue to live on in every student, colleague, and family they impacted.
Their memory will forever remain part of the St. Theresa family.
